What data we collect
ThreadsAI collects the following data:
- Account information: Email address and hashed password for authentication.
- Usage data: Actions performed within the extension (posts analyzed, comments generated) for activity logging and rate limiting.
- Threads content: Public post text and engagement metrics from threads.com that you choose to analyze. This data is processed temporarily and not permanently stored on our servers.
How we use your data
- To authenticate you and manage your account.
- To provide AI-powered content analysis and comment suggestions.
- To enforce usage limits and prevent abuse.
- To display activity logs in the admin panel.
Data storage
Data is stored on a secure server. Passwords are hashed with bcrypt. API keys are stored server-side and never exposed to the extension.
Third-party services
We use AI providers (Anthropic Claude, OpenAI) to analyze content and generate suggestions. Post text is sent to these providers for processing. Please review their privacy policies.
Data retention
Activity logs are retained for 90 days. You can request deletion of your account and associated data at any time.
Your rights
You can request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal data by contacting the administrator.
